Losian is a middle aged half-elf with a pale face and dark eyes… eye that show defeat and apathy. At first glance he could be a vagabond, but a closer look reveals a flat wide brimmed black hat, a holy symbol of two hands around his neck, and a scarf that had once been white tipped with red, but the elements and neglect have robbed its brilliance. Losian was once a man of unwavering faith and devotion to the Ilmatari (the church of Ilmater), but now he is troubled and lost
Alicordia is an 18 year old woman, a human rogue, and the way she holds herself tells you that she has a chip on her shoulder and something to prove. Her dark leather armour is always oiled, ensuring no noise is made, and the belt of daggers is always at the ready to send flying to her foes. Auburn hair falls to just below her chin and ice blue eyes accent the dark purple cloth that she uses to conceal her features. A slight frame would tell you that she would be a weak opponent, but the rapier on her hip is worked with use and is flecked with something that might be paint, decoration, or blood. Her right hand is often concealed, but draws the most notice if people look at it. A black finger less glove is drawn over it, but on second glance, her fingers also appear to be black leather, leading the question, are they supposed to look that way?
Shun is a pale skinned young male halfling, about 16 years old. He looks apathetic to the world around him, but deep down he actually feels more than most, as he is an empath. He’s dressed in a black sleeveless gi, and has jet black hair styled in an emo swoop. His eyes are a piercing light grey that seems to convey so much emotion behind a stone cold face. Although small in stature, he has the lean body of a well trained and experienced monk. He is cursed by a god in a way that effects his halfling luck.
Telbos is a wild-west type of "newer world" continent, where resources are yet to be discovered, lands yet to be claimed, and the areas of influence of the major cities and powers are still greatly in flux. Most city states don't have the ability to maintain consistent order across swaths of land to maintain kingdoms or countries, and have more of a city-state sphere of influence, rather than formal boundaries.
Our adventure starts in Quernos, the city of crime, is the main human settlement and informal capital of the human sphere of influence across the continent. Located on Lake Haleox in the center of the continent and guarding the Westward Rego River, it provides a "safe" and easy way to ship goods throughout the continent while avoiding the dangerous and harsh ocean waters to the North of Telbos - for a steep cost. Those who pay the toll enjoy safe waterways and trade, and those who don’t learn firsthand why Quernos is called the city of Crime.
The world of Telbos was designed by Rod, and then our GameKeeper, Scott, took it and modified a little to fit with the storyline. Map designed through Inkarnate.
